The outside event that I attended was called “Democracy rocks” with Dr. Bob Leonard. Dr. Leonard is an author that writes about politics and what is going on around the country and most importantly Washington D.C. What I noticed was this was more of a talk and speak/question type of seminar. Dr. Leonard talked about a lot of things‚ he talked about the difference between Republicans and democrats. He said how everyone starts from a different viewpoint‚ and can change many times throughout their lives

Sling Blade is‚ if nothing else‚ a movie close to the heart of Pajiba. Billy Bob Thornton filmed his debut in Benton‚ Arkansas‚ a small hub just southwest of Little Rock which sadly conforms to some of the worst southern stereotypes - poverty‚ ignorance‚ and brutality; it’s a town barely removed from the swamp‚ of monstrous heat and lush green overgrowth frilling the edges of rotten automobile innards; its people a bizarre confluence of petty bourgeois lawyers and car magnates ruling over a lower

Unfortunate Time Poverty is a bleak way to live‚ this life can drive even the most sane person into a deep darkness they would never have understood‚ and the majority of people during The Great Depression faced this dreadful truth. The artist‚ Bob Kramer‚ compiled this piece of fine art after being inspired by Dorothea Lange’s black and white photographs during the great depression. Mr. Kramer captures the essence of poverty in his artwork of a young girl sitting in a bleak room which is

1102-208 7-20-2011 The Antagonist is Not Who You Would Think In “The Chrysanthemums” by John Steinbeck‚ the character’s conflicts are very obscure. The main character‚ Elisa‚ is in constant conflict with herself‚ which she projects onto her husband and the tinker. Though Elisa appears to be dissatisfied with her life‚ she has no way to change it‚ and she becomes increasingly crass as the story progresses. Although she appears to be the victim‚ she is the story’s antagonist. Steinbeck describes

In Between the Ear buds It can hit us in many ways‚ “but when it hits‚ you feel no pain.” This thought by Bob Marley represents the power and potential of enlightenment that music contains. It can makes the good times better and hard times easier. So‚ I believe that wat goes on in between any two ear buds is only for the listener to keep. In addition to that‚ he is mocking the elite society to point out the injustices that against those of a lower status which in this case

Not very many songs compare to Bob Dylan’s timeless "Like A Rolling Stone". He explores areas that most conventional lyricists and composers do not touch. Bob tells us many of life’s lessons in a mere six minutes and nine seconds. The divine Bob describes life before and after the fall from fame and fortune by telling the stories of multiple persons‚ speaking to them in conversation. The theme of this song is loss‚ whether is it loss of social status‚ money‚ or trust for humanity. The first stanza
