On April 7th‚ 2016‚ I attended Lakeland College’s musical‚ "Hairspray!” Overall I thought it was a great performance. It was my first time seeing this musical in particular. There were many things that made the performance spectacular including: the outfits‚ the setting‚ and the actors singing voices. There were also a few things that made the play worse than it could have been and it was mostly the technical difficulties. In the beginning of the play all of the lights were out and the spotlight

a scene in the new musical "RENT" that may be the quintessential romantic moment of the ’90s. Roger‚ a struggling rock musician‚ and Mimi‚ a junkie who’s a dancer at an S/M club‚ are having a lovers’ quarrel when their beepers go off and each takes out a bottle of pills. It’s the signal for an "AZT break‚" and suddenly they realize that they’re both HIV-positive. Clinch. Love duet. If you don’t think this is romantic‚ consider that Jonathan Larson’s sensational musical is inspired by Puccini’s

Music throughout History I personally like classical music because my wife used to sing in many competitions‚ which gave me a whole new appreciation for this type of music. She has sung in many different languages such as Italian‚ German‚ Hebrew‚ Russian‚ English‚ Bohemian‚ Spanish‚ and French. We also used classical music in our wedding by Johann Pachelbel’s “Canon in D Major”‚ which is heard very often in weddings. I chose to do my research paper on classical music throughout history

Rutter As public music became common in the eighteenth century‚ the concept of musical taste began its literal development. There were new ideas that music should be universal and appeal to all tastes‚ connoisseur or untutored. These ideas represent the Enlightenment; a time when people favored a more natural take on art however‚ the idea of musical taste was not brand new in the eighteenth century. Though musical taste was said to appeal to everyone in the eighteenth century‚ educated or not

the weekend‚ I had no idea what to expect from the musical Chicago. I had never seen the movie‚ or anything related to the musical. I had however been to the city of Chicago‚ although it turns out‚ that wasn’t very useful information preluding the musical. I went into the theatre not having any clue‚ and I returned actually learning quite a bit. The things I learned from this experience are not solely related to the musical. I learned that musicals‚ and not understanding the arts very well‚ is a great
