in the blaze. Historians agree that on Sunday evening‚ October 8‚ 1871‚ the Chicago Fire did indeed start in the barn of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick and Catherine O’Leary. While the blaze ironically spared the O’Leary home‚ located on the city’s West Side at 137 De Koven Street‚ much of the rest of Chicago was not so fortunate. S al Malaki Concert Reaction Paper We are very much interested in music and upon hearing that we will be watching a musical concert we felt excited. The music pieces used in concert were based on Rizal’s travelling expeditions all over Europe. Musical Analysis The first piece I chose was Frédéric Chopin’s Prelude in E-Minor (op.28 no. 4). It was performed by Aldona Dvarionaite (2009). Chopin was a composer in the Romantic period. This is a sad piano piece. Chopin wrote primarily for the piano. The piece range was almost monotone in nature. The sound was in scale rising and lowering using the same melody throughout the piece. The tones were kept uniform repeating over and over again. I found this piece of music one dimensional.

It was titled In the Heights. This new musical featured something never before seen in musical theater: the songs are primarily latino rap. It was a bold step down a path no one had taken before. The story takes places in a poor neighborhood in New York called Washington Heights. Those living there are immigrants from
