In the beginning of October‚ I received a new fourth grade student named Adrian. Adrian came from a rural school district in Iowa‚ where he had attended since he was six years old. Within the first week of Adrian’s arrival at Anson Elementary‚ he was performing grade levels below his peers. His school records did not arrive until two weeks after his start date in October. When looking at his records‚ it stated on his 2015-16 Iowa Assessments that he was on grade level for math and reading.

One thing that I found very important and useful was the section on the emergency codes and alert. Throughout the section

In keeping with that vision‚ we plan to offer numerous academic courses and activities that will challenge our students and broaden their horizons. I am proud of the accomplishments at Lafayette Schools. These activities may have occurred in our classrooms‚ our choir room‚ our band hall‚ our gyms‚ or on our playing fields‚ but they did not occur due to complacency and satisfaction with the status quo. Our schools are what they are because

graduate from the fifth grade. Hanging on the wall as you walk in through the doors of our school is a photograph of six students - the first graduating class at Mason Elementary. If one of those faces looks familiar to you‚ that’s because one of those students is my Grandfather… the one in the knickers. Sadly‚ my Grandfather has passed on.
