The piece over all had a rhythm that was easy to tap your foot to and I was doing so throughout the piece. It was a bright sounding piece and it started the concert off on the right foot. The second piece played was “In a Mellow Tone”. This song

Monique attended the Swing class at Ambient Studio on March 14‚ 2009 to heard and dance to the rhythms and sounds of the Etowah Jazz Society. The concert was from 9pm to 12 am in the morning. There sound was very mellow and not loud at all. After Monique talked to a couple of the members in the band I found out that

The song choice for this band seems very appropriate for the level of players in the ensemble. I also enjoyed the Christmas medley that they played with the concert being close to Christmas. The band had very good balance. They had a good foundation with the low brass and woodwinds. The upper woodwinds were not shrill sounding and blend very nicely into the foundation the lower instruments set for them. The rhythms were together and precise. They were able to switch between staccato and legato seamlessly
