Jean Piaget‚ a Swiss psychologist‚ made substantial findings in intellectual development. His Cognitive Theory influenced both the fields of education and psychology. Piaget identified four major periods of cognitive development: the sensorimotor stage‚ the preoperational stage‚ the concrete operations stage‚ and the stage of formal operations. The preoperational stage includes children two to four years of age and is characterized by the development and refinement of schemes for symbolic representation

attended a classical concert that the Music Department of WKU put on. The one I went to watch was the Trombone Studio Recital performed by the WKU Trombone Choir and Trombone Quartet. The musicians performed fifteen different pieces by many different classical composers which include: Sonata for Bass Trombone‚ Concerto in F Minor‚ Suite for Four Trombones‚ and Morceau Symphonique. The performance of Alleluia was truly an amazing experience and was my favorite piece of the concert. The piece started

The concert featured two ensembles‚ both the Virginia Tech Jazz Ensemble and the Jazz Lab Band. At this concert‚ I was both a perceptive listener due to my knowledge of music and music performance‚ and a casual listener enjoying my friends performing a great concert. I enjoy my nature of listening because I can

The concert that I attended on November 4th was the Music of the Night‚ a musical theatre gala performance‚ which was performed by the faculty of the Department of Music from the University of Arkansas. They performed thirteen songs that were all performed by piano and their voices. Each song was unique from one another ranging from funny‚ happy‚ upbeat rhythms to songs that made you feel sad emotions. Of the thirteen songs that were performed the two that stood out to me were Whatever Happened to

Monique attended the Swing class at Ambient Studio on March 14‚ 2009 to heard and dance to the rhythms and sounds of the Etowah Jazz Society. The concert was from 9pm to 12 am in the morning. There look is like a big band but they have a swing feel to them. The bands whole persona is that of a big band that you would see on a dance television show back in the older days. There sound was very mellow and not loud at all. After Monique talked to a couple of the members in the band I found out that

Concert Report This semester I attended a jazz concert put on by Truman State University’s Department of Music. It was on December 5th at 8 pm‚ in Ophelia Parrish Performance Hall. The university’s Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Lab band both performed. Both bands were directed by Tim AuBuchon. The bands drew in a decently sized crowd. I was able to recognise several of my peers sitting in the audience alongside of me. I pleasantly surprised by the size of the bands and the level of skill they had. Both

This concert consists a wide range of different dances. The concert starts at a slower pace with the Ian Eastwood performance which is performed to a slower song. The dances that are present in this concert are very strong and a common theme that is shared amongst all the dances is that they all tell a story. From the beginning of the show to the end‚ each dance tells its own story. This is why the title is a world of adventure‚ with each performance and each story the audience is taking on different
