Josiah Returns Review By Zachary Webster 07/22/13 Edith Carnley Saturday July 13 at around 2:30‚ I was very pleased at this group of young performers who put on the play Josiah Returns inside of Charles Winter Wood Theatre. The young children were all a part of the five week Irene C. Edmonds Youth Camp for kids interested in theatre. All of the children were in between elementary and high school. The story begins with five children attempting to appease their grandmother to sign their report

Even in its darker moments this play managed to keep a light easy air‚ giving it a happy and relaxed feeling‚ almost as if we too were at a summer home on a pond. On February 2nd‚ a friend and I enjoyed the production put on by Dalton ACT theater. Norman Thayer is the main male character

On March 3rd‚ I went to a play called Boys Will Be Boys in UNI’s Interpreters Theatre. I initially went because a friend of mine was in it and they asked me to attend. I was excited because i’ve only seen plays done by Theatre UNI‚ so it would be a nice change to see a smaller scale production. The theatre is located in Lang Hall. It was a very intimate theatre with little to no staging. The actors had to rely solely on a few props and their ability to act. The play was written by a UNI grad student

I feel that for early age kids‚ it is very important and fun to have creative play time. I have 5 kids‚ and I remember how much fun it was for them to have the freedom of creative play time. We played with food‚ crayons‚ clay‚ paint‚ dirt‚ and so many other things. The only rules were to touch
