To me the most interesting character in this book so far is Piscine or Pi’s dad‚ Mr. Patel. In chapter 8 (pages 31-39)‚ page 35‚ “I heard two things at the moment: Father saying “Never forget this lesson” as he looked on grimly; and the bleating of the goat.” This scene really characterizes Mr. Patel and showing just how brutal the wild life can be.
