In August Wilson’s “Fences”‚ Troy is a father and husband who make’s the worse decision from human imperfection‚ to commit adultery and become mixed up in another relationship. By noticing the racial tension in the late nineteen fifties‚ in combination with Troy’s past life experiences and the events that play out in each act‚ one can not understand Troy’s choice to commit adultery. Entry #19 – As I Lay Dying: This book switches from narrator to narrator and does not have a truly set main character. Although we get to experience the story from different points of view it is a bit much too keep switching between narrators especially since the deceased character Addie ends up narrating chapters that take place after her death. I‚ personally‚ would have liked it if the book had only one narrator and a set main character to maintain some sort of consistency throughout the book.
