For this experiment I am investigating how the light intensity as my limiting factor will have in impact on the amount to oxygen produced‚ to should the rate of photosynthesis. Therefore‚ all the controlled variables must remain constant‚ if not there could be an affect on the accuracy of the dependent variable. The CO2 levels are the same for each trial because before placing the sodium hydrogen carbonate i will weigh it with a measuring scale for 1.5 grams. After completing the five measurements

In this experiment‚ the class examined how the rate of photosynthesis was affected by different light colors at different distances in shoots of a Cabomba plant. The plants were placed in two different beakers‚ one with recently boiled and cooled distilled water and the other with saturated sodium bicarbonate solution. The three different color photoflood lamps used for this experiment were white‚ red‚ and green at four distances of thirty‚ sixty‚ ninety‚ and one hundred-twenty centimeters away

My results and the graph indicate that as you add the caffeine to the daphnia‚ the eart rate of the daphnia increases for example the daphnia’s heartbeat is 120 without caffeine‚ however when caffeine is added it is increased to 168. My graph shows a positive correlation and the error bars are also very small which shows that the results have a small range which suggests that my results are accurate and reliable. I think that the experiment was conducted well however there may be some ethical issues

investigate the effects of temperature on the growth rate pine seedlings. Experiment 1 A batch of 60 pine seedlings (Batch I) was grown in a greenhouse under controlled temperatures. Ten plants were grown at each of six temperatures from 50 C to 300 C. These plants remained at their original temperatures 24 hours each day for two weeks. All other conditions were the same for all seedlings. The growth rates are shown in Table 1. Table 1. Growth rates for pine seedlings in Batch I Experiment II A

molecules move into available space. It’s the spread of something more widely. Substances diffuse in high concentrated area to a low concentrated area. Water is one molecule that can diffuse freely in a cell. Other molecules need assistance through the cell membrane through a process called facilitated diffusion. Osmosis moves from an area of low concentration to high concentration. In osmosis water moves in the opposite way. Water flow is determined by the concentration‚ not the nature of the solute.

Osmosis: How fast can you move? The Rate at which Osmosis Occurs when Exposed to Various Toxicities Within the human body many things are occurring at all times. Without these small‚ seemingly insignificant processes all human life would cease to exist. One of the aforementioned activities is Osmosis‚ or the movement of water across a selectively permeable membrane eventually establishing equilibrium on both sides of the concentration gradient (Freeman 90). During this specific experiment involving

One can predict that the tube with the highest concentration of yeast will produce the most carbon dioxide and will have the fastest rate of alcoholic fermentation. Results Two separate experiments were conducted to determine the effect of yeast concentration and pH level on the rate of fermentation. The first experiment involved the placement of different concentrations of yeast‚ glucose‚ and distilled water in four different tubes. Pipette pumps were

that if a small amount of salt was added to the reaction‚ then it cause the rate of the reaction to speed up‚ but if too much salt was added‚ then it will instead decrease the rate of the reaction. The data revealed that no additional amount of salt was the reaction that had the highest rate. As shown previously in the data table‚ the first trial’s average reaction rate of 4.5 mL/min was higher than the other two reaction rates where salt was added for trial 2 and trial3‚ 2.125 mL/min and 3.5 mL/min
