The Effect of Water on Germination and Plant Growth in Marigolds Question: How does the amount of water given to a plant affect how much it grows? Hypothesis: If I give water to a marigold seed then it will germinate and the plant will grow more than a seed not given water. Independent Variable (IV): the amount of water given a seed/plant Dependent Variable (DV): the amount of plant growth Control Group: The group of plants given water Experimental Group: The group of plants given no water

Research question : How does the different light intensity affect the rate of photosynthesis in plants? Objective : To investigate the relationship between different light intensity (by having the source of light at different distance to the plant discs which is at; 10cm‚ 15cm‚ 20cm‚ 25cm‚ 30cm‚ and 35cm ) and rate of photosynthesis of plant. Introduction : Photosynthesis is the process where light energy is absorbed by green plants to convert the raw materials (carbon dioxide and water) into

The basis for theories of behavior management focus on these ABC’s: Antecedent event or stimulus. In behavior management‚ it is critical to count and examine the specific events that precede behavior; Behavior or response of the student. This is the specific‚ observable and measurable behavior that is targeted; and Consequent event or reinforcement of behavior. In behavior management‚ the impacts of a variety of reinforcements or rewards are considered so that the most reinforcing reward is chosen

Light Intensity Experiment: For the light intensity experiment‚ our first set of data illustrated strange correlations between the three tubes placed in front of a light source‚ so the data provided in e-campus was used. The tube that was 24 cm away from the light had the greatest decrease in absorbance over the course of 20 minutes‚ followed by the 30 cm and then the 49 cm light apparatus. The tube that was placed in the dark (wrapped in foil) remained a dark blueish-green color whereas the tubes

What is motivation? And Importance of motivation Motivation is a combination of direction‚ intensity and persistence of effort towards a goal. These mean a highly motivated person putting in a lot of effort‚ for a long period of time at a directed task is highly desired. Unmotivated people will lack intensity of their effort/duration or a sense of direction of their efforts. Motivation has a strong relationship to performance according to the expectancy theory thus is highly important for organisations

Conclusion In this experiment I tested different light intensities. I tested a normal fluorescent light bulb‚ a 100-watt light bulb‚ a 25-watt light bulb‚ and a 15-watt light bulb. I was surprised to find that the control plant grew the most at 135 mm. The 100 watt plant grew the least at 0 mm due to the fact that it fried the plant. The 25 watt plant grew the next highest at 120 mm. The 15-watt light bulb grew tall fastest‚ but then slowed down and stopped at 98 mm you would want to use this

Grammar and some of Chomsky’s theories)‚ analyzing the Poverty of Stimulus argument and its background‚ and then giving some evidence in favour of and against the argument. In my assignment I will mainly be using the work of the following researchers: Steven Pinker who‚ as previously stated‚ is in favour of the Poverty of Stimulus argument and Chomskyan theories (1994)‚ Stephen Laurence and Eric Margolis who argue for the Poverty of Stimulus argument and try to dispel some of the skepticisms surrounding

Light Intensity Characteristics of Photocells The photoelectric effect is defined as the emission of electrons from a material by visible light. The cadmium sulfide photocell is used to act as a conductor once exposed to light‚ allowing light to travel through. However it also acts as an electric resister (an opposition to a current flowing in a circuit) once not exposed to light. The photocell serves today ’s cause in a sufficient manner. It is used for a variety of reasons but it is mainly
