chapter ONE introduction 1.0 Background A significant problem in communications is the generation of echoes. The echoes arise for a number of reasons‚ with the primary reason being an impedance mismatch. The impedance mismatch occurs when the two-wire network meets the four-wire network‚ this interface is known as the hybrid. This impedance mismatch causes some of the signal energy to be returned to the source as an echo [1]. This can be seen in Figure 1. (All figures appear at the end

5.2 Principle of Operation of N-Channel JFET: These are two prerequisites while considering the principle of operation of JFET. Gates are always reverse biased and therefore Gate current IG is practically zero. Source and Drain terminal should be joined together through a voltage source called VDS‚ drain to source voltage. In an N-channel JFET‚ source terminal is connected to the negative end of the drain to source supply voltage to send the lectron from source to drain and similarly for an P-channel

identification‚ three techniques are considered for the identification of linear system. Different techniques are frequency chirp‚ coherence function and pseudoinverse. In chirp method‚ wideband excitation such as frequency chirp is used. Frequency response is obtained as the DFT of the output of the system for time-domain input. Inverse method uses SVD function to find pseudoinverse. Coherence function has been used to identify the system using MATL AB function tfestimate. The performances of the
