In my opinion The French Revolution was a success. The middle class was influence By the theories of Enlightenment and was familiar with the recent American Revolution. They fought for freedom and equality. In 1789 financial times were hard in France. The peasants were upset that the nobles were living lavish collecting taxes‚ while they suffered.
