The Florida Panther (Puma concolor coryi) was placed on the endangered species list in 1973‚ and there are less than one hundred of the Florida Panthers still alive. I chose this bigger cat because they beautiful felines that may be close to extinction. In writing about this animal‚ I hope to bring attention to the fact that they are often killed by cars‚ people shoot them because they eat the animals on their property‚ and they also can die from genetic problems from mating with other cat species
