    When reading the poem‚ "Mexican is Not a Noun‚" I had different reactions. In the first stanza‚ the author explains that the word‚ "Mexican‚" is not a "noun" or "adjective." I believe this is a statement used to shock the reader. I mentally trying to see why it was characterized as either.
