It should be mandatory to offer a course on critical thinking in high schools. All too often people approach situations in a close-minded way and make judgments based off those predetermined thoughts. If high schools offered a critical thinking course this could be changed. A critical thinking class will encourage students to examine situations with logical and an open mind‚ will demonstrate the need and complexity of good reasoning‚ and will provide tools for self-reflection and critical assessment
