I enjoyed this book by Bell Hooks far more than I did Creative Schools by Ken Robinson. I thought this author had a better ability to lay out her thoughts and explain to the reader more efficiently her ideas. The chapters were fifty percent shorter as well‚ which helped the reading feel less drawn out and lengthy. The author did a better job providing examples from her life that related to the subject than Robinson did‚ although they were also rather lengthy. Creative Schools tended to have the examples

Dear Dr. Ducking I am still not able to afford a book at this time. Also I did not make time to use the book in the reading room and the library only had the 3rd edition of the book. So I wrote a summary of the class notes that you had put up on blackboard. Chapter 3 Summaries: Chapter 3 talks about descriptive statistics with numerical measures. These measures consist of location and variability. The measures of locations are mean‚ median‚ mode‚ weighted mean‚ geometric mean

In the first chapter of Freakonomics‚ the authors of the book used a quote that in my opinion best describes the whole idea of the chapter. That quote is “a thing worth having is a thing worth cheating for” by W. C. Fields. This quote perfectly summarized the whole chapter’s idea incentives‚ the idea that incentive “is simply a means of urging people to do more of a good thing and less of a bad thing” and how incentive “is a bullet‚ a lever…‚ [and] an often tiny object with astonishing power to
