Multicast addresses in IPv6 have a larger amount of addresses than IPv4. There are many different multicast addresses for IPv6 and not quite as many for IPv4. Where IPv4 is 32 bits of the total address IPv6 is 128 bits overall. Neighbor discovery in IPv4 is usually rather easy‚ but in IPv6 it is much easier.
