Alfred Tennyson was born on August the 6th 1809‚ in Somersby‚ Lincolnshire. Alfred was the forth out of twelve children of George and Elizabeth Tennyson. Alfred’s father‚ George Clayton Tennyson suffered from depression and was absentminded.
