The question we answered was do mealworms like a dark or light environment better? First we made a hypothesis. We believed that the mealworms would like the dark environment better than the lighter one. We placed five mealworms in the same dish and half of the dish was covered so it would be dark and we left the other half light for the different environments. We did five trials and got results that were very alike. All five times there were more mealworms in the dark environment than those in the light

will discuss the evidence of the methods and results that were obtained . Methods and Results: To begin our experiment we obtained a petri dish from our lab instructor which contained fern spores and the food they needed to survive. We then look at the spores through the micro scope. It was to soon to see anything but little green dots. We then put our petri dishes under a light until next week. When we came in next week we observed our fern spores through the dissecting microscope. We looked

Tetracycline and Chloramphenicol against Serratia marcescens By C. A. Bechdel Abstract The problem investigated was Serratia marcescens. We hypothesized that both Tetracycline and chloramphenicol will be effective against treating S. marcescens. The experiment was conducted with a single control group and two experimental groups. The experiment was replicated 8 times. The experiment showed that in testing the control group S. marcescens‚ chloramphenicol had a mean death zone of 30.9 mm +/- 2

Chemistry 1225 Lab Write-Up #13 Abstract Electrolysis is a method of using a direct electric current to drive an otherwise non-spontaneous chemical reaction. During electrolysis‚ hydrogen atoms (H2) are reduced at the cathode whereas the oxygen atoms (O2) are oxidized at the anode. There were three different solutions used in the experiment in order to have a better understanding of electrolysis reactions. From each solution‚ reaction equations were produced. The reactions could be observed from

Lesson Organisation This will depend on the number of microscopes you have and access to a healthy culture of Daphnia. Students can readily follow this procedure working in pairs. Because of the variability of results between individual Daphnia it is not appropriate to make conclusions from one set of results‚ so each pair (or group) of students should carry out more than one investigation to contribute to the class set. One option is to record a live video of a sample Daphnia‚ during a time
