Knowledge vs. Ignorance In Ray Bradbury’s novel “Fahrenheit 451” a brief insight is given into what I believe our current world is evolving towards. Bradbury created a world that’s placed so much emphasis on artificial happiness that at some point this became the only thing of importance. If we view this novel in the aspect of this story originally being written in 1953‚ and compare it to our current society and how much things have evolved to matching Bradbury’s description in Fahrenheit 451‚ I’d say

Fahrenheit 451 is a novel based on the role of burning books in order to eliminate their dissenting ideas. Guy Montag is a fireman who burns houses containing books‚ rather than putting fires out. In his community‚ laws are enforced to prevent folks from thinking. These rules try to hide the reality that the government is controlling people‚ as well as the faults in the world. The novel begins with the quote‚ "If they give you ruled paper‚ write the other way‚" from Juan Ramon Jimenez. I believe

Imagine yourself in a world‚ where there is nothing unique. Society is nothing like what it is right at this moment. In “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury‚ Guy Montag shows a lot of bravery in what he does. Not only does he show bravery‚ but his wife shows weakness in the story. I think that this is a good novel‚ because Guy and his wife‚ Mildred‚ show certain feelings in the book and it shows that everything isn’t always going to be perfect. Guy shows bravery and courage in the story multiple times

A society hooked on TV‚ and police forces that harass and punish independent thinkers‚ all of this in a book that takes the reader for a spin in a chaotic‚ new world. In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451‚ the main character‚ Guy Montag‚ starts off politically correct‚ hating books‚ burning them without a twinge of guilt. The challenged book I recently read was Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. This book has been challenged‚ and almost banned‚ for quite a while. I personally disagree with the statement that this book should be banned. This book has a very deep and meaningful background‚ and the good definitely outdoes the bad. The people who chose to ban this book did have a point‚ that foul language and violence is not good for a young student to read‚ but the good in this book should cover up the bad. The foul language

elementary of comparisons‚ and are the easiest for the mind to comprehend in that total opposites are brought to attention. These opposites subconsciously provide one with a deeper insight of the material and consciously entertain. In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451‚ many dualisms are included both within Montag and in the outside world that provide 180 degree flip-side views‚ giving the book further depth and inner meaning. Within the many layers of Montag lay several opposite sides. For example

Choice # 1: In the book Fahrenheit 451‚ Beatty claims that "If you don’t want a house built‚ hide the nails and wood" (61).* What Beatty means here‚ is that if people don’t want society to have knowledge‚ then all knowledge-bearing materials must be destroyed‚ which in this instance‚ are books. Books give people knowledge and more complications‚ which he claims can make people less happy. Ignorance is bliss because every character in Fahrenheit 451 who discovers the truth is in immediate trouble
