After listening to this pieces‚ I decided it was composed in the Baroque period of music. When I listened‚ it sounded as if there were two separate pieces but the radio personality did not announce a new piece or a change. For this reason‚ I assumed they were movements. The first movement sounded dark and frantic. It reminded me of sitting down to take a test and being filled up with anxiety. The mood of the piece changed and became lighter. It was not necessarily happy but rather soothing and romantic

Elizabeth Almonte HUM 104-Music Appreciation Professor: Barci Classical music in my opinion is very calm and soft‚ a type of music that to others can be very boring and would just put them to sleep. I believe that every piece of music composed and played on the radio has a message and in classical music as well‚ it just a bit more difficult to understand and listen to that message when we don’t have anyone signing it. Classical music gives us the open liberty to incorporate whatever we want

Strings: For a common acoustic guitar‚ there are six strings. These strings‚ either made of nylon or steel string acoustics‚ are tuned low E‚ A‚ D‚ G‚ B‚ and high E respectively. Subsequently‚ four factors determine the pitch when the strings are plucked: mass‚ tension‚ length‚ and mode of vibration. For instance‚ if you were to have a heavy string‚ it would take a longer time to vibrate‚ thus‚ giving it a lower frequency. And vice versa. However‚ frequency is not only limited to string

The solo of ‘Peg’ begins at 1:46‚ where the guitarist uses double stops bent with vibrato‚ which gives an almost Hawaiian timbre. The use of distortion throughout the piece is not a timbre typical of Jazz music‚ which outlines the genre as ‘Fusion’. The use of double stops‚ finger taps‚ slides and bends emphasize this genre‚ by outlining ‘rock’ timbres‚ not typical of jazz. An interesting timbre can be found at both 2.00 and 2.03‚ where the use of chromatic‚ open-string licks using pull-offs can

Mock Concert report The piece begins softly with a lot of allegro feel. The violin strokes are airy and this seems to be a prominent part for the piece. It seems to be a fairly decent sized orchestra preforming this piece and they all seem fairly lively. The podium seems to have a soloist as well as a conductor‚ but the conductor is playing along with the soloist. This is an interesting technique‚ but it seems to fit the piece perfectly and it adds a unique perspective which seems to attract the
