On my way to my first NA meeting I felt intimidation and nervousness. I wondered why I was feeling this way‚ when my first AA meeting I felt excited and I didn’t feel any intimidation or nervousness. As I entered the room‚ I could instantly tell it would be very different from the AA meeting. As I suspected‚ it was different in many ways‚ such as the atmosphere of the room‚ more rules‚ and less sharing of stories. attending an AA or NA meeting‚ or learning about substance abuse users I always questioned why they would not choose to become sober. When I would see a person who looked like they were a substance abuse user I immediately thought less of them because I thought they were consciously making a choice to live their life like that and they were choosing to live their life that way. On September 11‚ I attended the Friday Freedom Group at St. Augustine Church in Manchester and the meeting has affected my opinion

I also had pictured in my mind that the meeting would be very confrontational with one side deciding on something and the other side arguing that this decision was not

Community Meeting Review For my project I visited the City of Hesperia’s Official Website and reviewed the April 1‚ 2014 City Council Meeting which is available to the public on line. The beginning of the meeting started with a call of order then proceeded to the roll call of the board members. After these steps had taken place an invocation was performed followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
