I got a chance to hear Chuck Hawthorne play last Tuesday night at the Liberty Tree in Elgin. I had heard about Chuck for some time‚ and even found myself in a song circle with him at Jimbro Lutz’s Quicksand Farm Annual Square Dance last year. He was soft-spoken and cordial.
