Noncommissioned officers are the backbone of the United States Army‚ and maintain discipline among the ranks. When an enlisted soldier disrespects an NCO‚ it robs them of the power to do their job correctly. When not respected by their soldiers‚ NCOs are reduced to yelling and "corrective training" to get their point across‚ and this rarely works.
