Abstract: This report presents the reason why the ocean does not freeze in the winter. Since the ocean consists of salt water‚ an experiment was done to test the effect of freezing on salt water compared to pure water. The experiment was conducted three times in order to obtain accurate results and eliminate errors. In addition to the salt and pure water experiment‚ a variation of this experiment was created to test other options. In the variation experiment the effect of freezing on sugar water

Enhtalpy change - Hess’ law Experiment #7 Date performed: March 4‚ 2014 Presented by: Sam Tabah(I.D.#1402433) & Giuliano Amato(I.D.#1328425) General Chemistry 202 Nya-05 (00006) Vanier college Part A. Objective: The objective of this lab was to determine the standard heat formation (∆H°F) of MgO‚ using a calorimeter and determining the enthalpy of two reactions. Applying Hess’ law we were able to determine the standard heat formation of MgO. Introduction

glowing splinter is pulled out ‚ it rekindled . 6 Boiled manganese dioxide (cooled after heating) Moderate amount of effervescence is produced . Pop sound is heard . The glowing splinter is ignited with violent flame and extinguished within 7 second . When the glowing splinter is pulled out ‚ it rekindled . Discussion The equation involved in this experiment is decomposition of hydrogen peroxide . H2O2 ( liquid ) → H2O ( liquid ) + O2 ( gas )

Materials and Methods For this experiment‚ you will need: 1. Two glass tubes with a diameter of 4mm and 20cm in length 2. Three live Mealworms 3. Wire rod 4. Cotton 5. Potassium hydroxide 6. Motor Oil 7. Petroleum jelly First‚ you will need to measure and record the weight of three mealworms to the nearest tenth. Then use the wire rod to push the small piece of cotton into the first tube. After the cotton‚ put the mealworms into the tube. Put

Pixar was worried that people would not know how to say Ratatouille‚ so all the logos on the promotional posters also had the pronunciation as “rat-a-too-ee” underneath the title. 7.) The scooter Skinner uses to pursue Remy in Ratatouille is seen in the garbage on Earth in WALL-E. 8.) The story of the film is based on the Aesop’s fable The Ant and the Grasshopper. Do not allow the test tube content to spill. 6. Seal the flask with the stopper. 7. Measure and record the total mass of the flask and its contents. 8. Slowly tilt the flask sideways to allow the two solutions to mix. 9. Measure and record the total mass of the flask and all its contents. Part B : Antacid Tablet in water 1
