Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graceum L.)‚ an indigenous spice crop of India has been widely used in traditional medicine for treating various kinds of diseases. In this work‚ 10 genotypes of T. foenum-graceum were evaluated for their diosgenin content and productivity‚ ascorbic acid (AA)‚ total phenolics (TP)‚ flavonoids (TF)‚ tannin and antioxidant activity (AOX). Results indicate that fenugreek is a good source of flavonoid and total phenolics ranging from 2.74to 12.03 mg/g and 22.59 to 62.59 mg/g

Microbiology UNKNOWN LAB REPORT Kateryna Petrakova INTRODUCTION Microorganisms cause a great amount of diseases. For healthcare providers it is very important to be aware of what organisms are pathogenic and cause a disease and‚ therefore‚ to find an appropriate treatment. Different microorganisms require various environments in order to replicate and to become dangerous for a person’s health. An integral part of any medical treatment is to be able to recognize and

EXPERIMENT 8 QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION IODOMETRIC TITRATION OF COPPER CONCENTRATION IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION B Y RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Considered as moderately weak oxidizing agent‚ Iodine was used for the determination of strong reductants. Standard iodine solutions were found to have smaller electrode potentials as compared with the other oxidants‚ gaining them the advantage of imparting a degree of selectivity essential in the determination of strong reducing agents amid the presence
