    In the eighth grade‚ I auditioned for a youth production of “Once Upon a Mattress” at the Morgan-Wixson Theater. It was my first time auditioning for a show in which I wasn’t guaranteed a role. Being certain of my abilities and craving a challenge‚ I auditioned and landed a role in the ensemble. A week into rehearsal one of the leads dropped out‚ and the director called back members of the ensemble to replace her.
