The act of book banning gets rid of freedom of speech and press which is one of the most important things in this country. Getting rid of it is basically breaking the law. Banning books also keep readers away from the real world and opposing viewpoints. Even though some people might not like a book‚ there is no need to keep it away from everybody. Even if somebody thinks that Harry Potter promotes witchcraft‚ it shouldn’t be prohibited. And finally‚ banning books takes away a student’s opportunity
