The film version of ¨A Christmas Carol¨ is extremely more preferable. The literature version just simply doesn’t give off as much of a mood‚ the text is extremely too dull. In written form the story isn’t pulling me in‚ and appears like a fantasy. The text is just not appealing‚ and that’s the main reason why the movie is better. Although I love to read‚ I like watching movies better. Both the movie‚ and the story are very fun to watch and read. I recommend you to check them out‚ they’ll most likely

philosopher‚ Wayne Dyer‚ once said‚ “If you change the way you look at things‚ the things you look at change.” If you realize what you have done wrong‚ you can change how you act the next time you are in the same situation. In the play‚ A Christmas Carol‚ the main character‚ Scrooge‚ was only able to look upon money‚ nothing else. To change‚ Scrooge had to change the way he looked at money and his life; he needed to focus on the more important things‚ like family and caring for others. In the beginning

The Search for a Purpose in Carol Emshwiller’s “Killers” It is human nature to desire a sense of purpose in life greater than just yourself. Whether it be something as large as serving the country or as small as serving a family member‚ helping others can provide a sense of meaning to a person’s life. This meaning can become addictive‚ and in the narrator’s case from Carol Emshwiller’s “Killers”‚ became the main reason that they are still living and pushing to survive. Throughout this story‚ the

Analysis and use of Carol Gilligan’s In A Different Voice In Gilligan’s In a Different Voice she explains that in social science the perspectives of men and women differ. She challenges that these “theories formerly considered to be sexually neutral” are human constructs that can be seen in fiction and science cannot be neutral until “we begin to notice how accustomed we have become to seeing life through men’s eyes”. This means that those stereotypes of how men and women look at situations‚ observations

I like the DVD better than the written version of A Christmas Carol. The movie and the story are a lot alike. The movie and the story are different in many ways. There are many ways the special effects of the movie make it better than the book. There are many similarities and differences between the movies. The movie and the story are a lot alike. One similarity is there was a lot of fog. Another is when his old partner “Marley” talked to him he told him three ghost will show up in his

In "Is Hunting Ethical?" Ann Causey examines the growing debate on the morality of hunting. She started off with an example of the controversy by using herself as the model. While telling the story of the tragic loss of Sandy the fawn‚ she reveals to us the irony of her eating venison that very night. This gives us early signs that Ann is not on either side and that she is feeling conflicted over the subject like many people in the present day do. Ann talks about the fact that most hunting is

1. Find 8 adjectives to describe Scrooge. The eight adjectives that I found best describes Scrooge at the beginning of the novel would be greedy and unfriendly‚ even though he donates‚ I still feel that he is somewhat greedy at the beginning of it. Following would be grumpy‚ miserable and cold hearted. As the novel progresses‚ he definitely begins to be more thoughtful and friendly. By the end I feel he is a happy old man and glad those ghosts came to him. 2. How does Scrooge live despite enormous
