Being in San Miguel de Allende was an experience unlike any other I’ve ever had. I was able to experience parts of my own culture that I had never witnessed before and I came back to the United States knowing more about my cultural roots as well as feeling closer to my homeland. As an educator‚ after a week of teaching in Las Clavellinas I feel that I gained an immense amount of hands on knowledge that might have taken me years to acquire in a traditional classroom setting in the United States
