Washington Elementary School is located in West Orange‚ New Jersey in a neighborhood where mostly African American and Hispanic businesses and people were surrounding the area. As I arrived to the school or left‚ I usually only saw minorities in the surrounding neighborhood. This correlated with the students I saw in the classroom I observed‚ and throughout the school. In the classroom there was a total of 17 students‚ all of which were minorities. Ten of the students are Hispanic and seven are

sisters. I truly believe that being a member of a family is a priceless membership‚ that we can pay nothing for‚ but love‚ with that note I would like to briefly describe the family I was born in‚ my mother is a science teacher in Pinnacle school for more than a decade. My father‚ a mechanical engineer is serving Lloyd’s Insulation for more than 30 years. Almighty has been very kind to let me play a role of a big sister to my very special younger brother. Now about the family I was

For many‚ high school is the last place where they will play a sport at a competitive level alongside their peers. Many may refer to this as their "glory days" as they don’t intent to play in college and look for other ways to spend their time. Since I’m attending a school where there are no sports teams on my campus‚ I realized there were a few areas of high school sports that I miss. These are a few of those things. 1. Teammates During my four years playing hockey we always had a close team that

So I spent the day with the school nurse at one of the Shen elementary schools. I really enjoyed my day I mostly observed what she was doing other then looking at a few swollen throats and helping with the multiple nose bleeds that came into the office. I think my expectations of what a school nurse did were meet‚ but there were definitely more kids in her office then I imagined there would be‚ although she said it was a slow day. She did things like giving out ice packs and putting Band-Aids on

vision for Lafayette Schools is to make this an "A" district. In keeping with that vision‚ we plan to offer numerous academic courses and activities that will challenge our students and broaden their horizons. I am proud of the accomplishments at Lafayette Schools. These activities may have occurred in our classrooms‚ our choir room‚ our band hall‚ our gyms‚ or on our playing fields‚ but they did not occur due to complacency and satisfaction with the status quo. Our schools are what they are because

On Monday‚ March 13th‚ I observed one of the six 2nd grade classes at John F. Kennedy Magnet School in Port Chester‚ New York. Middle school is significantly different from high school; the middle school I went to is small compared to Ridgeview which has far more opportunities. Ridgeview has presented itself to be stronger‚ more demanding‚ and far more open. A few things that have been demonstrated to be far more taxing are band‚ different classes‚ and the method of accomplishment. When it came to me joining the Ridgeview band program I was shown that things were no longer going to be as simple as they used to be. I had

OPRF high school is brimming with diverse cliques‚ groups‚ and clubs. But one particular cohort seems to stand out from the rest. The theatre department‚ overseen by Michelle Bayer‚ can be described as a whirlwind of activity‚ with 10 official productions each year. My group researched it for the education unit‚ but the majority of them were unfamiliar with the activity‚ and I felt the overall presentation was unrepresentative of what high school theatre is. It can be characterized‚ primarily‚ by

Yesterday Oct. 31 I spoke with Mrs. Lane about Sheyenne and some others girls not being nice to each other at lunch I told her I had talked with each of them and found that they were both picking at each other. Today Nov.1 Mrs. Lain came to school and wanted to have lunch with her daughter she did not eat with her rather she wandered around the outside area observing our students. Mrs. Lane came to the office after lunch to tell me that she saw students not being nice to each other and that on more

On 4/22/2016 at approximately 1025 hours‚ I arrived at Glenn Elementary School to perform a routine patrol of the building. After entering the main entrance area I was advised by staff of a student walking out of Teacher Cheryl Westberry’s art class and attempting to leave the building. A few moments later the student was located the main entrance stairwell attempting to leave the school. The student was identified by staff as being Coreyon Williams (190169228). Secretary Judy Marsh was able to block
