ABSTRACT: Adding oil to candle wax would soften it. The wax would melt at a lower temperature and the candle would drip more and burn down faster. The flame would also be larger than a flame on a candle with hard wax. Also‚ the flame would produce more soot and there would probably be an odor from whatever was cooked in the oil before it was used in the candle. Results of the tests showed that the candle made from 100 percent paraffin wax had the lowest melting rate‚ lowest amount of melted candle. The

The History of Caterpillar Engines The start of Caterpillar engines actually begins before Caterpillar was even a company. The history began back in the late1800’s when Daniel Best and Benjamin Holt were experimenting with various forms of steam tractors used for farming. The two competed with each other to gain the lead in the farm equipment industry. Throughout the late 1800’s and early 1900’s Holt and Best continued to build both steam and gas tractors. In 1908 Best sold his company to Holt

The air of the night was cool but heavy against the girl’s skin. Sweat beaded off of her forehead‚ but she quickly wiped it off with a rag. The only light came from the moon that peaked through the leaves of the dense canopy above. There was a distinct smell of wood and leaves that filled the air. The night was silent except for the shuffling of a girl that walked down the path clutching a small but bulging bag. All around her was bright as the light reflected off the golden silk that lined her dress

Joseph Mallord William Turner’s painting‚ The Burning of the Houses of Lords and Commons‚ 16 October 1834 (1835)‚ captures the drama of first-hand expe rience through careful rendering of texture‚ colors‚ and composition. These elements‚ along with well-though out exhibit‚ make for a very powerful experience of a true historical event. Turner‚ an English Romantic artist‚ creates this work with oil on canvas. It measures about four feet high and five feet wide framed. This work is a good example
