The affect of temperature on the rate of movement of woodlice Aim: The aim of this experiment is to establish whether a change in temperature affects the rate in which woodlouse move. I measured the rate by timing the woodlouse to move a set distance of 20cm‚ and altered the surrounding temperature by submerging a clear tube in water with different temperatures controlled by a water bath. Research: It is to be believed there over 3000 different species of woodlice‚ a total of 42 species

(teachers and principals). Reliability was tested using Cronbach coefficient alpha to determine the internal consistency of the questionnaire items; A Cronbach’s Coefficient Alpha of 0.8139 was obtained. The collected data were processed and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive statistics included frequencies‚ percentages and means. Inferential statistics using chi-square and Spearman Rank correlation coefficient were used and tested at = 0.05 significance level. Analysis

Statistics Test Pearson’s correlation test Correlation is a technique for investigating the relationship between two quantitative‚ continuous variables‚ for example‚ age and blood pressure. Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) is a measure of the strength of the association between the two variables. The nearer the scatter of points is to a straight line‚ the higher the strength of association between the variables. Also‚ it does not matter what measurement units are used (URL1)

Blencathra fieldwork questions 1. a) Aim : To investigate and observe the downstream changes in the Glenderaterra Beck near the Blencathra Field Study Centre in the Lake District National Park. Hypothesis 1: as you go further downstream the higher the velocity will be as the higher capacity of the river will mean it has more energy so will travel faster and the channel will be wider and deeper leading to less friction and a higher hydraulic radius Hypothesis 2: As you go further downstream the

Ashby.‚ 2001) to test the correlation between the two. Those who experienced higher in the subscales of perfectionism showed a greater experience in depression than those who scored lower on the perfectionism scales. This indicated a significant correlation between all subscales of perfectionism and depression. This study aims to concentrate primarily on the discrepancy subscale‚ which shows a very strong correlation with depression through the spearman rho correlation. Introduction Depression
