Hot Springs National Park A Brief History of Hot Springs National Park The area we now know as Hot Springs National Park‚ was first a territory of the United States in 1803. It was part of the Louisiana Purchase. In 1807‚ settlers came and soon realized it was an area that had potential to be used as a health resort.
