The first artist I will be writing about is Peter Howson. He was born in Ayrshire in the year 1958 and lived there for most of his life. He had a great education as he studied at Glasgow School of Art and then moved to London to finish his Masters Degree. Practically all of his work is based on war. He always uses strong tone and the palette he uses is limited and earthy. The emotion Howson manages to convey in all of his paintings is often dark and depressing which links to the problems he has had

shared with our best friends. In the olden days where computers and modern gadgets are not yet the craze‚ my friends and I enjoy strolling in the streets‚ public parks or plazas. We swim in creeks and rivers‚ catch fish and play in the water with so much fun and laughter. We also enjoy bathing in the rain‚ running bare like wild children in the streets. We make paper boats and have a boat race in canals after a rain. During summer vacations and fiestas were celebrated in every village‚ we attend

like to drive the speed limit. School zones‚ in my opinion‚ are the most important. When traveling through school zones‚ doing the speed limit‚ you have the ability to stop faster when something out of the blue happens‚ a child running out in the street chasing a ball kicked over the fence in the school yard. If you were traveling over the speed limit you would not be able to stop as quickly to avoid hitting that child. Same goes for other route’s and highway’s speed limits on a (NEW PARAGRAPH)I

Langston Hughes. This is a story about a young boy who lives in the streets who comes across a woman who will teach him a life lesson and gives him a second chance indirectly. They both cross paths in a very abnormal way. The boy (Roger) tries to snatch a woman’s purse‚ (Mrs. Jones) when she is confronted by him‚ she takes charge of the situation. The Girl In the Green Sweater Day to day people walk the streets in their new shoes and fancy clothes and never think about how good they have it. They walk on these streets looking up and never down. But down is the direction in which a group of people lived‚ down in the sewer that is. When times are hard you must do as needed and for this family the only way to stay together during the Holocaust was to live within the muck and filth of the sewage system. 0n September 1‚ 1939‚ Germany invades

not like about the barangay is the litter scattered around the streets. I also did not like the environment because there are plenty of suspicious looking individuals around that made me feel uncomfortable. After our agenda with the barangay officials‚ we learned that we could use the basketball court beside the barangay hall for our desired community service. We went to the court to take a look at it. I noticed plenty of children playing. So I thought that we should

Terrified citizens flinching their hands‚ curling up as they run away from the outrageous gun slinging of two individuals. Having no mercy of shooting on the street corner during broad day light‚ was just another ordinary day of altercations. is a curse. A good neighbour makes life worth living by sharing our joys and sorrows but a bad neighbour is a source of constant trouble and nuisance. As luck would have it‚ we have both good and bad neighbours. We live in a crowded locality. The streets are narrow and the houses are mostly multi-storeyed. So we have quite a few neighbours. Our next door neighbour is a poor workman. He is very hardworking. He works from early morning till sunset and yet he can hardly make his both ends meet. He is

come to my place from time to time to share joys with me. I would never for a moment be selfish and tight - fisted. On the contrary‚ I would arrange an ice - cream party‚ once a week‚ to treat the children of my near and dear ones. Then I would set aside fifty thousand rupees in helping poor children. Victor Kelleher’s Taronga and Roland Emmerich’s 2012 reveals to the reader and viewer what could happen if there was a nuclear holocaust or destruction of our environment. We get a clear illustration of man’s reaction in times of devastation. Though both are fictitious we are affected by the chilling possibility of it becoming a reality. The destruction that can result is clearly shown in Taronga where a nuclear holocaust destroys most of the population and circumstances have reduced the majority
