    In the story Superman and Me by Sherman Alexie. Sherman wants kids to understand that stereotypes are not always real. Sherman describes indians as‚ “children who were expected to be stupid. Most lived up to those expectations inside the classroom but subverted them on the outside.” All indians were expected to be stupid‚ but that only applied in the classroom.
