    An unpleasant drunken genius? Haymitch Abernathy is certainly one of the most interesting characters in Suzanne Collins’ novel The Hunger Games. While he is the well-known alcoholic mentor of District 12‚ Haymitch ends up being a smart competitor who helps Katniss to survive the Games along with her partner.
