Two poems about city life by Liz Lochead Liz Lochead has written two poems about city life‚ one being Laundrette which is set in an area of Bristol which is full of bedsits‚ meant for students just renting. The other poem is George Square which is set in the business district in Glasgow. As the first poem mentioned‚ Laundrette has a subtle start as it says ‘We sit nebulous in steam’ (nebulous meaning hazy or vague). You could almost have a debate on all the possible places that you ‘sit nebulous

I think that Marjane Satrapi showed that Iran was not just about war and terrorism. She gave a look inside the country‚ a look at its people. In my opinion her family did not seem so much different than an American family. They were real people struggling with the government and violence around them. It is amazing that in

Based on this definition‚ it is expected that the number of megacities in the world will be mostly located in the developing world. The Knight’s Tale‚ the story of two knights that fight for the love of a woman they do not know‚ and The Miller’s Tales‚ the story of three men trying to win the heart of one woman‚ are two tales that share similar story lines and themes that include courtly love and chivalry. The miller’s tale uses elements similar to the knight’s tale but it corrupts those same elements by mimicking them. The miller’s tale and the knight’s tales are very different although they have some similarities.
