The concert that I reviewed is the Guitar Studio Recital featuring The Oakland University Saxo-Ensemble. I love listening to guitars so I figured that this was the perfect concert for me. It was very creative because the Saxophone players were dressed up as zombies and the composer was dressed up as death and he used his scythe to compose the ensemble. Halloween‚ being one of my favorite holidays‚ this was a nice surprise. I am glad that I attended this concert because it the pieces were not too

Overall‚ as usual‚ the jazz ensemble at MAC on Monday night was great‚ and as I mentioned before‚ I never heard this band before‚ so I was very excited to listen to their performance. I love that they use Benny Goodman’s composition to end the whole concert because it really brought the 1920’s big bang jazz’s feeling back to the audience. I think the repertoire for this performance was good because there were a mix of many different styles‚ such as contemporary pieces‚ swing‚ blues‚ free jazz‚ and etc

I saw The Santa Fe Big Band 22nd‚ Annual Evening of Jazz Concert. The band was dressed up all matching. The men were wearing black dress shirts and pants‚ with dress shoes. The women wearing black formal dresses with red shoes. They all looked very professional and when they started playing it immediately took me back to the 1930s‚ the big band era. Most of the songs were of long length and with many solos through the songs. The instruments used to create the songs were: saxophones‚ trombones‚ trumpets

BEETHOVEN CONCERTS The “Pastorale” Symphony and the “Emperor” Piano Concerto‚ one named by Ludwig van Beethoven and the other by a friend‚ are splendid examples of Beethoven’s musical acumen. These pieces are more formally known as Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 and Piano Concerto No. 5. This concert report will cover both pieces and will contain my impressions of each piece. Symphony No. 6 “Pastorale” was performed by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen‚ and was conducted by Paavo Jarvi

Nederlander Concerts very existence is due to operating by the principles of Capitalism carefully practiced by the Nederlander Family for the last 100 years. They have survived the great depression of 1929 and the recession of 2008; obviously they are doing something right. Under Capitalism‚ David Nederlander was free to invest his money into a new business by leasing the Detroit Opera House back in 1912. David was not encumbered by Government or outside control in how he managed his business
