Abstract The objective of this lab was to determine the convective heat transfer coefficient of a heated sphere in an quiescent environment. In the experiment a hot brass sphere was put into water and cooled. The temperature of the sphere was recorded over a time of 600 seconds to see how it cooled and given temperature was recorded every 20 seconds. Results were then calculated at both of the time values 300 and 600 seconds. For the experimental results at time 300 seconds‚ the Rayleigh number

Egg Lab Write Up The purpose of this lab was to depicked the many properties of diffusion such as isotonic‚ hypotnonic‚ and hypertonic‚ so that students could have a clear visual example to go by for future refrences. We also did this to learn about selective permeability and osmosis. Our original hypothesis stated that the vinegar would react with the calcium in the shell to create CO2 bubbles. Note I said the original hypothesis as this experiment took coarse over a four day period‚ in which

desired accuracy. The work carried out by hand at the bench is called bench work. Whereas fitting is the assembling of parts together by filling‚ chipping‚ sawing‚ scraping and tapping etc. Fitting shop tools: The tools which are used in fitting lab are called fitting shop tools. These can be classified into the following groups according to their function they performed. 1. Measuring tools I. Measuring tape II. Steel rule III. Outside& inside calipers IV. Verneir caliper V. Lab 34b Cardiovascular Physiology 1. What was the baseline heart rate for the frog? 59-63 bpm 2. Which wave is larger‚ the one for atrial contraction or the one for ventricular contraction? Why? Ventricular. It shows the strength of the ventricle as it pumps blood‚ and it is a thicker muscle to pump stronger as it contracts 3. At what time during the contraction cycle was it possible to induce an extrasystole? The time during the relaxation part of cardiac cycle. 4. By clicking the Multiple

Post-Lab Questions 1. Using the information provided in the Introduction and your observations from Part 1‚ hypothesize as to the type of electrolyte the following solutions would be. Justify the hypothesis from a chemical standpoint. a. Aqueous Sodium Hydroxide—NaOH (aq) is a very strong base‚ which will completely disassociate into Na+ and OH- ions‚ which would make it a very strong electrolyte. Chemical reaction of the disassociation of Sodium Hydroxide: NaOH (aq)Na+ (aq)+ OH-(aq)

Kalle Watts Measurement Lab 9‚ 27‚ 2012 In this measurement lab we attempted to make the most precise and most accurate measurements. We used the materials and equipment that we had to make all of our measurements. We had to deal with significant figures and also‚ we had to designate each measurement with its proper unit. The objective of this lab was to use all of our equipment we had and make the most accurate measurements

Enzyme Activity Lab Hypothesis: 1] Are enzymes reusable? Yes‚ enzymes are reusable. 2] Which of the following do you think contain catalase? [Manganese dioxide‚ chicken meat‚ apple‚ carrot‚ potato‚ or chicken liver] I think that the manganese dioxide‚ apple‚ and carrot contain the catalase. 3] Would grinding the materials affect enzyme activity? I think that grinding the materials will increase enzyme activity. 4] Would temperature affect enzyme activity? I think that
