Guy De Maupassant wanted people to recognize this‚ so he wrote "The Necklace". in "The Necklace"‚ the author shows us to be thankful for what you have by using irony. Mme Loisel has it all‚ except for money. She refuses to see that she has a good life. When Mme Loisel finally does get a fancy necklace‚ she loses it and has to pay it off for the rest of her life.
