have so many things to be grateful for. Thanksgiving‚ Christmas‚ and Easter are full of so many wonderful things. The things that I am thankful for include food‚ animals‚ and family. One of the things that I am very appreciative for is food. Every year‚ I go to my grandpa’s house and eat a delicious feast. Secondly‚ people all over the world don’t get to eat 3 meals a day. Finally‚ my mom is an amazing cook. I am so glad I am fortunate enough to eat every day. My dogs are definitely something.

Two Views of the Mississippi” described a river from two different perspectives. The comparisons‚ however‚ were not of the river; but from the eyes of a passenger uneducated in the nature of steam boating. While the passenger saw the river’s pure‚ natural beauty‚ the experienced pilot saw that the beauty as a way of learning. At Twain’s first innocent view of the river he saw the grace of radiating lines‚ slanting marks and tumbling‚ rings on the sparkling red and gold water. As the story continued

people love her. We‚ too‚ are relieved when Emily "runs up the stairs two at a time with her light graceful step." She has gone from a shy‚ awkward girl to a beautiful‚ confident‚ graceful woman. We sense the mother’s resolve that Emily will be okay: "Why were you concerned? She will find her way." And‚ with the mother‚ we are at peace. By using the first person narrator style‚ the author gives us only one point of view. She plainly states her theme for this hard-luck story: "We were poor and

The First Thanksgiving I believe the first Thanksgiving revolved around the pilgrims and Native Americans who were known at the time as Indians. It did not become an annual festival immediately. This historical day was not called Thanksgiving Day at the time; it was later declared a national holiday in the early 1800’s by a one of the first presidents of the United States of America. The pilgrims suffered some devastation which lead them to a feast of thanksgiving with the Indians. The first Thanksgivings

the “best holiday of the year” has changed from Christmas to Thanksgiving. My views‚ including favorite holiday‚ have changed because my focus on what’s important has matured. Christmas is a kid’s favorite holidays for really only one reason: presents. We live in a society where materialistic things outweigh almost anything else. We would do almost anything to get the new iPhone‚ and we have an annual “buy as much as you can” day‚ also known as Black Friday. Christmas‚ unfortunately‚ has gone

Point of view (in fictional writing) is the narrator’s position in relation to the story being told. Through the first person and sometimes third person limited retrospective narrative voice of Nick Carraway‚ Fitzgerald invites us to condemn or condone various aspects of “the roaring twenties”

objective of this paper is to explain the psychological view of the movie‚ Groundhog Day. The main character of the film is Bill Murray and is directed by Harold Ramis and released in 1993. The movie takes place in the small town of Punxsatawney during the winter season. Although the movie has a very powerful message‚ I did not like it. Phil (Bill Murray)‚ a weather man for an American TV station‚ is sent to Punxsatawney to cover a local Groundhog Day ceremony. The very skeptical weatherman regretfully
