Summer Reading Over the summer‚ I did not read. I was in the car a lot‚ going back and forth between Illinois and Washington. Most of the time‚ I forgot to bring a book‚ and when I did remember‚ I only read little bits of the book‚ or it was a book turned into a movie‚ but we cannot do a report over books turned into movies. Don’t get me wrong‚ I love to read‚ to enter a different world and usually become the main character‚ and it saddens me that I never found the time for reading during summer

The short story “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury demonstrates how people can act cruelly to others who are different. This is because there are several examples in the story. One example of this in the story is when the kids stay away from Margot because she is from Earth‚ while they’ve been there for most of their lives. Did you know that Venus’ average surface temperature is 462 degrees celsius! This is one of the many reasons why I think that Ray Bradbury’s - “All Summer in a Day” setting isn’t possible. Venus is a different planet from earth. It has constant rain‚ and has wildly different surface temperatures. The mass of the planet is much greater than of Earth’s. These different circumstances on Venus‚ are very hard for humans to adapt to coming from Earth. Since the atmospheric pressure is 92 times greater
