A descriptive cross sectional survey targeting 139 doctors and 355 nurses from seven hospitals in the same location were selected to describe their knowledge and reported practice of procedural pain in the neonatal infant and their management techniques. Questionnaires were handed out during scheduled staff meetings. The questionnaires included seven procedures and four gestational age categories.
