Abstract The Third-Generation (3G) wireless technologies offer wireless web‚ SMS‚ MMS‚ EDGE‚ WCDMA‚ GPRS etc. 4G is a packet switched technology‚ uses bandwidth much more efficiently‚ allowing each user ’s packets to compete for available bandwidth. It solves the non-standardization problems associated with 3G. Data transfer rate will be 20 to 100 Mbps‚ which is 10 to 50 times than 3G and 10-20 times faster than ADSL. Operating frequency range will be 3 to 10 GHz and the IPv6 protocol will be

area statistic is derived as well as the variance around the expected value. Monte Carlo simulation results confirm the probabilistic model’s statistical conclusions. Multi-site passive optical measurements are taken in a mature broadleaf forest environment with increasing leaf obscuration then fitted to the model. The model’s implications to FSO system links are considered and simulated. Conclusions are discussed as well as further research. FREE-SPACE OPTICAL COMMUNICAITONS THROUGH A FOREST CANOPY

1 Connecting Through a Wireless Network Case Project 6-1: Designing a Wireless Network for Roaming Team Members Thomas Jefferson Community College uses a team approach for managing the financial resources of the college. The team members primarily work in the administration building‚ which houses for the president’s office‚ human resources‚ payroll‚ accounting‚ development‚ and the main IT office. Each area uses team and team members who are often mobile‚ going between work areas. For

What is WAP? WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol. The idea has been developed by some of the wireless telecommunications giants such as Nokia and Ericsson. The Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) uses the Internet as a gateway for the transmission of the protocol. WAP has brought the Internet and the sub-services that it provides right into our lives as we are on the move. WAP brings us information right to the screen of our mobile phone. WAP offers the possibility to call specific
