Introduction An anti-lock braking system (ABS) is a safety system on motor vehicles which prevents the wheels from locking while braking. The Anti-lock Braking System is designed to maintain vehicle control‚ directional stability and optimum deceleration under severe braking conditions on most road surfaces It does so by monitoring the rotational speed of each wheel and controlling the brake line pressure to each wheel during braking. This prevents the wheels from locking up.

3: Variables Independent variable: The methods of removing lead nitrate (Pb(NO3)2) from water. There are various ways to remove lead dissolved into water. Many of them are expensive and/or very industrial. Due to my circumstances‚ I chose five that were somewhat doable. The five methods are coagulation‚ carbon filtering‚ reverse osmosis‚ ground coffee filtering‚ and distillation. Coagulation was done by using a flocculant (aluminum sulfate) that clump small‚ destabilized particles together so that

Summary The primary goal of the experiment was to determine the structural stiffness of two cantilevered beams composed of steel and aluminum while maintaining both beams at a constant thickness and cross sectional area. The experiment also investigated material properties and dimensions and their relationship to structural stiffness. The experiment was divided into two separate parts. The results for the first part of the experiment were obtained by clamping the beam at one end while applying

Diffusion Through Membranes IB Biology 11 Diffusion Through Membranes OBJECTIVES In this experiment‚ you will Use a Conductivity Probe to measure the ionic concentration of various solutions. Study the effect of concentration gradients on the rate of diffusion. Determine if the diffusion rate for a molecule is affected by the presence of a second molecule. BACKGROUND Diffusion is a process that allows ions or molecules
