Jess Walter’s writing was definitely an interesting read and I felt like it was unlike any of the other readings that we have read thus far. It kept me interested in the story and I felt that was partly because of the mystery that came with it. The end of the story was a little suspenseful‚ not exactly knowing how the story was going to continue until you kept reading. Overall‚ it was a good short read. Gloria Bird’s writing and Sherman Alexie’s writings were my top favorites out of this folder

What Stories Can Teach Us About Life In comparing August Wilson ’s play "Fences" and James Thurber ’s short story "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty‚" it can be seen that the main characters in each of these stories face a similar universal human conflict. Both Troy‚ of "Fences‚" and Walter Mitty live lives in which they‚ like most everyone‚ are limited to some extent by forces beyond their control as to how they live their life. These limitations‚ unfortunately‚ cannot be avoided throughout life
