What is considered to be late adulthood in human beings? This age period is the only human development period that is continuous‚ meaning this is the last stage before death ensues. The minimum age to be considered a late adult is 65. Different from the early and middle adulthood stages of life‚ late adulthood is characterized by the decay of functioning of the body and often the onset of illness in many individuals. This decay will and does effect the body physically‚ cognitively‚ and socially.
