    I read “Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria” by Beverly Daniel Tatum and “Mother Tongue” by Amy Tan. I choose both essays due to the fact that they were the first two in the prescribed reading of our text for this week. I have come to realize that I am just not attracted to any of our readings from our text‚ and just working my way through them seems to be working.
